Been a long time-How we have missed cruising

Not knowing what to expect, we went ahead with our plans to take an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the MSC Seashore.   We kept up to date on the Health and Safety protocols, made sure we had our PCR tests, the paperwork required and we packed our suitcases and headed to Miami.  The embarkation process was easier than we thought. We had our embarkation time, got tested, then it seemed like in no time, we were on the ship, ready to start our vacation.

We went to San Juan, Puerto Rico and did a coffee tour and did some shopping. San Juan, is so beautiful and so full of history.  I should have recorded our tour guide, as she was so informative and so much fun!  Walking around in San Juan with the cobblestone streets was just amazing.

The other island we went to was Puerta Plata, Dominican.  We did not do an excursion, but we took a taxi and it was our own private tour of the island.  Went to an amber museum, a chocolate factory, the old fort and of course some shopping, it was another great day and I would suggest doing the taxi ride.  The driver stayed with you the whole time and also had such knowledge of the country and knew exactly where to take the best pictures!

All I can say is this, if you are hesitant about cruising, don't be.  It was so wonderful to be back on a ship again.
